Caught Red-Handed  

When I look at another person, I become a subject observing an object. When it looks at me, I become the object at which the subject stares at. A glance, like a story, establishes a contradictory tie.

In this cycle of my work, I am once again using the motifs of bodies taken from ads that I found in women’s magazines. I have painted the figures with their eyes blindfolded  so I am able to stop the constant fluctuation of roles between me and them: between the object and subject. In my work, I leave the possibility to them to be only objects. While painting these women, I arrange my own “directed” stories and plots…
